Facebook Disconnecting

I realize this may come as a shock to many of you, but I plan on taking an extended break from Facebook. I'll still be blogging a lot and tweeting occasionally, but I really need to cut myself off for a while.

I have become way too caught up in the Facebook world. I need to disconnect for a while, get my crap in order. I'm not living my life how I want to right now. & way too much of it is spent online and not in the real world. I have a lot of changes to make in my life right now and Facebook is just one thing cluttering everything up, luckily it's an easy fix. I need to focus on just me right now and it's too difficult to do that while worrying about how everyone else perceives me. Because really, that's all Facebook is about, getting attention from others. And sadly I don't have enough self control to just check fb every now and then. It's kind of an all or nothing thing with me. So I'm cutting myself off for a while. It's strange when you think about it because so many years ago Facebook never even existed and people didn't have that much trouble keeping in contact, so I'm sure I'll survive without it for a bit. ;)

  1. Kirsten you are the best. It's nice to see that somebody realizes that all this technology is a cancer not a cure.

  2. Well thank you Anonymous. I'm glad I have your support. :)

  3. I think you're making a wise choice for yourself! You have my support and love in everything you're trying to do for yourself! :D

  4. Thank you mom! You know that means the world to me! LOVE YOU.
